Samsung, one of the heavyweights of the electronics industry could leave the sector laptops with Windows 2015 to focus on Chromebooks.
According to Digitimes, Samsung takes the party to withdraw from the market for laptops running Windows in favor of Chromebooks running Google Chrome OS, and 2015.
The objectives by laptops Korean firm for 2014 are in all cases well below what one would expect, with 7 million units laid against 12 million models sold in 2013 instead of 17 million estimated.
If confirmed, the news should disappoint more than one because Samsung was able to offer attractive laptops, such as ATIV Book. That said for some temp supply in this area is less attractive to consumers, particularly because of the increasing number of models architects around AMD or ARM processors while references equipped with an Intel Haswell processor are very few.
As a reminder, Samsung was one of the first to enter the field of Chromebooks, the laptops that want affordable thanks to their Google Chrome OS system strongly turned to the cloud.
